Overview
Dallas Party Bus is a local transportation company serving the competitive Dallas–Fort Worth market. The business was running on a static HTML site originally built in Adobe Dreamweaver: no CMS, no practical way to manage metadata, and no realistic path to ranking. Oceana Marketing rebuilt the site on WordPress and ran a full local SEO program on top of it.
The Challenge
Before the engagement, the site was actively working against the business. It attracted 10–15 organic sessions a month in a market where competitors already had modern, optimized websites.
- Poor search visibility. Most target keywords sat around position 40, which is effectively invisible.
- No content management system. Every change meant editing static files. A single menu edit had to be repeated manually on every page of the site.
- A crowded local market. Several Dallas party bus operators were competing for the same handful of commercial queries.
- Weak E-E-A-T signals. No faces, no bios, nothing that told a customer who would actually show up to drive the bus.
The cost of that was not theoretical. Low rankings meant missed calls, missed events, and lost revenue over several years.
Our Approach
1. Migration from static HTML to WordPress
We rebuilt the site on WordPress, keeping the original structure but reorganizing it into something more logical for both users and crawlers. The migration was planned so that existing URLs and rankings were preserved rather than reset.
- Installed only essential plugins to keep the site lightweight and fast
- Implemented an SEO plugin to manage titles, meta descriptions, and on-page control
- Added a deliberate internal linking structure and canonical tags to guide indexing
2. Strategic SEO and local optimization
With a manageable site in place, the work shifted to visibility. This is the same sequence we use in every engagement: fix the foundation, then compete on relevance and trust.
- Ran a competitor keyword gap analysis to find high-intent queries the incumbents were winning by default
- Rewrote title tags, meta descriptions, and page headings around real search intent rather than generic service wording
- Concentrated on local search across the DFW metro rather than chasing broad national terms
- Strengthened E-E-A-T by putting real people on the site. We asked the owner to collect professional photos of the drivers in suits, plus a few lines of personal background, and published them on the company’s About Us page. Customers could finally see who would be driving.
The Results
The improvements showed up quickly and then kept compounding:
- Organic traffic tripled within months, from roughly 10 to 30 organic search clicks per week
- Average keyword position moved from about 40 to about 10 in Google Search Console
- Top 3 rankings for 8+ commercial keywords, including “party bus Dallas”, “party bus rentals Dallas”, and “party bus Dallas prices”

None of this came from tricks. It came from a site that could finally be managed, pages built around what people actually search for, and credibility signals a real local buyer cares about. You can see more of this kind of work in our other case studies.
