Case Study: Dallas Party Bus – 3X Organic Traffic After Website Migration & Local SEO Overhaul

Overview

Dallas Party Bus, a local transportation service provider in the competitive Dallas–Fort Worth area, was struggling with low Google rankings and an outdated, hard-to-manage website. Built originally with static HTML files in Adobe Dreamweaver, the site lacked a CMS and was nearly impossible to optimize for search engines. Oceana Marketing stepped in to modernize their web presence and drive real business growth.

The Challenge

Before partnering with Oceana Marketing, the client faced several issues:

  • Poor search visibility – most keywords ranked around position 40
  • No content management system – updates were slow and difficult. This was the hardest about managing the old HTML site, because every time something needed to be changed in main menu, the owner would have to do that on every single page of the website.
  • Highly competitive local market – competitors had modern, optimized websites
  • Weak EEAT signals – no personal touch or credibility indicators on-site. Low rankings actually hurt bookings. The client’s business lost calls, missed events, and this impacted their revenue negatively over many years.

The specific challenges Dallas Party Bus owner faced were that there are other competitors in Dallas who provide party bus services and it was hard for the company owner to stand out with their old website which was based on HTML. That’s why the old site actually hurt their business. With their old website the business hardly received 10-15 monthly sessions.

Our goal was to elevate the client’s digital presence to match – and outperform – local competitors in the party bus rental space.

Our Approach

We tackled the challenge in two major phases:

We rebuilt the website on WordPress, replicating the original structure but making it more logical and user-friendly. WordPress enabled faster content updates and cleaner technical implementation. We also:

  • Installed only essential plugins to keep the site lightweight
  • Implemented Yoast SEO to manage metadata and on-page SEO
  • Added internal linking and canonical tags to guide Google indexing

2. Strategic SEO & Local Optimization

Once the site was live, we began optimizing for performance:

  • Conducted competitor keyword gap analysis to target high-opportunity queries
  • Optimized title tags, meta descriptions, and headers based on real search intent
  • Focused on local SEO to dominate results in the DFW metro area
  • Enhanced EEAT by adding photos and bios of the owner and drivers to increase trust. We specifically asked the company owner to ask the drivers to provide their professional photos in suits and a few details about their personal stories. Then we placed this information on the company’s About Us page. This allowed to add credibility because customers could now see the faces of real people who would be driving the buses.

The Results

After implementation, the site saw immediate and significant improvements:

  • Organic traffic tripled within months, from 10 organic search clicks to 30 clicks per week
  • Average keyword ranking jumped from position 40 to 10 (GSC data)
  • Top 3 rankings for 8+ critical keywords, including:
