Stock photography is one of the fastest ways to tell a visitor that your business might not be real. The same handshake, the same smiling team in a bright office nobody works in. Buyers have seen those images a thousand times and they discount everything on the page around them.
Real photos of real people do the opposite, and they do it for SEO as well as for conversion. Google’s E-E-A-T principles reward sites that demonstrate genuine experience, and nothing demonstrates it faster than your own crew, your own work, and your own space.
What we shoot
- Team and founder portraits — the About page is often the second most visited page on a site, and on most sites it is a paragraph of text and nothing else
- Work in progress and finished projects — the proof that turns a service page into evidence
- Product photography for stores that are currently using the manufacturer’s images like every competitor
- Location and premises — for local businesses, proof you exist where you say you do
The SEO side of images
Photos are also files, and files affect rankings. Descriptive filenames, real alt text, modern formats, correct dimensions, and lazy loading below the fold. On most sites the images are the single largest cause of a poor mobile experience, and fixing that is part of the 12-month program whether the photos are ours or yours.
Photography is quoted separately from the SEO program. See brand photography for how a shoot works, or email slava@oceanahq.com.
